Georgia Police Shoot and Kill Beloved Baby Donkey as Owner Demands Justice: “He Was My Son”

A Georgia family is demanding answers after police officers pursuing a suspect entered their property and fatally shot their beloved pet donkey, HeeHaw.

Hannah Israel, 30, said the incident happened around 12:45 a.m. in Cedartown, near the Alabama border. According to Israel, officers encountered HeeHaw in the family’s pasture after he approached them while braying. She said officers attempted to use a Taser before shooting the animal.

HeeHaw had been bottle-raised and was considered part of the family. Israel said he was friendly, appeared at local petting-zoo events and had never been aggressive.

The incident has sparked outrage and calls for accountability. The officer involved has reportedly been placed on leave while the circumstances are reviewed.

Israel says the family is now seeking legal action and wants answers about whether HeeHaw’s death could have been prevented.
